Session 6
Delving Further Into the Mystery...

The details in this post are lacking because I can’t remember them, so if anyone has any information they can add please do so!! I would appreciate it!! Also, I don’t have a good memory of what the other characters were doing at times, so Static’s actions and attacks will tend to be clearer and will show up more.

  • The adventurers say hello to Niles, and then they are brought to the bodies. The eight warforged bodies lay on the ground in a windowless room, covered in sheets. The group inspects the eighth body first, but there is not much missing from it’s body as the murderer was scared off before they could take anything. As they inspect the rest of the bodies, the adventurers find that different parts of them have been expertly removed, obviously by someone who knows how warforged work. Most of their cavities have been ripped open, and there is dust left from the crystals inside that disintegrated once they were removed.
  • On inspecting one body, they find clenched in its hand part of a gold chain, presumably grabbed from the attacker. When the ten minutes are up, the group leaves the Forgehome with Niles, who talks a lot about what he has been studying in Cannith. The group is headed for the Tain Foundry because all of the warforged bodies were found outside of the facility. At one point Evellis asks Niles a question about what he thinks about warforged, and Niles replies that they are very useful, and looks at Static and says they are “good little pups.” Evellis then tells Niles to go fuck himself, and he says that he understands that some people are more confrontational than others.
  • When the band plus Niles arrives at the Tain Foundry gates, the guards try to joke with them, but the group responds rather coldly. Evellis says they are here to see the boss of the foundry, and the guards joke and bring someone to lead them to their boss. On the way there, the band sees a scrawny warforged being held down and beaten by a dwarf. Kobin becomes angry and charges the dwarf, knocking him over, and then helps up the warforged. The dwarf is furious, and Kobin and Evellis confront him about why he was hitting the warforged, figuring out that the dwarf is the boss of the foundry. The group threatens that they have connections in high places that would not be pleased with hearing of his treatment of his warforged workers, and at first he seems to not care, but then reconsiders that it would not benefit him to make powerful enemies. Evellis tells the dwarf that they wish to talk with him in private, and the dwarf agrees to talk with her, Static and Niles, but not Kobin. Kobin says he would rather not talk to him either, and leaves to wait outside the gates.
  • Evellis, Static and Niles follow the dwarf into his office, and begin asking him about the warforged murders. The dwarf says that he has no use in murdering warforged, mainly because they are good workers and cheap, but he isn’t worried about it because none of his workers have been killed. He attributes it to a gold bracelet he is wearing that has a hammer on it, which he found on one of the warforged bodies. He says that ever since he found the charm, there has been no harm to the warforged that work in his facility. He is slightly defensive the entire time, and continues to say that he has no hand in the death of the warforged, and repeatedly claims that it is the ghost the Jack of Irons.
  • The group realizes they won’t get much more out of him, and ask to see the rooms the warforged stay in downstairs. The dwarf says he doesn’t really care, and the group leaves him with a cold goodbye. They descend to the living quarters of the warforged, and when they arrive they find a long hallway with doors into small closet-sized room big enough for a warforged to stand in in the dark. A warforged is leaving while another warforged is entering, and they recognize the warforged entering the hallway as one they saw at The Red Hammer, a warforged who was buried alive for experimentation and lost it’s mind.
  • The band decides to talk with the warforged who is leaving the facility. It is leaving the foundry to get to its job above ground, building a wall for an old woman, but agrees to talk with them on the way there. As they walk up the steps they ask the warforged what it knows about the murders and if it knew any of the victims. It says that the murderer was the Jack of Irons, but it didn’t know any of the warforged because lots of forged come and go. The group reaches outside the gates of the foundry, collecting Kobin, and then they continue to follow the warforged and ask it questions.
  • Static asks if it is scared of being harmed, and the warforged replies that it would be stupid not to be, especially what with all of the warforged hate spreading around. Evellis asks why it needs to go to this second job, and the warforged replies that it needs money for repairs, and, well, you know what they say, a good project keeps the madness away. Eventually the warforged and the band have to split ways, and the adventurers head towards the Pussycat Inn. Evellis decides to go see Lady Elaydrin d’Vown, though, to ask her a favor, but Niles says that he would rather she not because he needs them all to stick together in case they get up to any funny business. Kobin distracts Niles, asking him about his work and his life, and Evellis slips away towards the Broken Anvil Inn.
  • Evellis reaches the Broken Anvil, but when she tries to go to the Lady’s room there is a golem sitting in front of it. Unsure of how to gain entrance or knock, she asks the bartender for help, and the bartender happily obliges, saying that the golem freaks her out. Evellis gains entrance, and the Lady is surprised, saying she didn’t expect to see Evellis back so soon. Evellis is cold towards her, and says that she has come to turn in her favor. The Lady says she will try to do anything in her power, but only one thing. Evellis explains the warforged murders in Blackbones, and how she needs some sort of more official entry into the Cannith Forgehome, and the Lady says that she can give Evellis a temporary pass into the Forgehome, or an actual pass inside, but it would take a few weeks.
  • Meanwhile, Kobin, Static and Niles are headed towards the Pussycat Inn, and Niles is telling Kobin all about his studies and how lonely his work has been and how much he wants to get out and see the world. Eventually Niles realizes that Evellis isn’t with them any more, but Kobin asks him another question and he soon forgets it. The group begins to enter a small tunnel, but as soon as they enter they hear a “twang” and Niles is shot with a crossbow through the chest.
  • Three halflings appear, one behind the group, and two from the sides of the tunnel. Kobin tries to attack one in the tunnel, but he misses, and the other in the tunnel tries to tumble through the adventurers outside. Static attacks him, ferociously biting his shoulder, and he loses consciousness. The halfling behind the group is attacked by Niles and dies, and the halfling left in the cave drinks a potion that makes him invisible. Niles casts a glitter spell to coat the halfling so they can see him, and it works, but he is running away. Kobin tries to attack him but misses, and Niles tries to attack him but the attack fails. The halfling escapes.
  • The halfling that was bitten is lying on the ground unconscious, so Kobin ties him up and revives him a little so they can interrogate him. When the halfling wakes up he begins screaming about how Static bit him, and that it is a monster. Kobin threatens the man that is he keeps that up Static will finish him, so he better answer their questions. Kobin asks the halfling who sent him, but the man keeps repeating that he has his profession as an assassin, they have their profession doing whatever they do, so they should just let him be and let him go because he doesn’t want to ruin any careers. Kobin threatens to kill him, but the halfling assassin refuses to give any information, so Static readies itself to attack him again. At this, the halfling screams that he will talk, and answers Kobin’s question, saying that he was sent by the dwarf who runs the Tain Foundry and to please let him go. They untie him, and he runs down the street, screaming for help and that he’s been attacked.
  • Evellis has reached a decision with the Lady, and asks for a permanent pass into Cannith facilities. The Lady says she will get it to her as soon as she can, and that she will leave Sharn in the morning to speed up the process. Evellis thanks the Lady and takes her leave.
  • Niles, Kobin and Static resume their trek to the Pussycat Inn to heal themselves and remove the arrow stuck in Niles’s shoulder.

Session 5
Quest 2 Begins!!

This session’s description may not be entirely accurate because it has been a couple weeks. If you see any possible corrections, I invite you to make them!
Also I’m switching using “they” for Warforged to “it” because “it” is less confusing.

  • After the Band is done resting, they return to the Broken Anvil Inn where the Lady Elaydrin d’Vown is staying. Evellis gives her the schema, and the Lady promises Evellis one favor. Evellis suggests they become nemeses, but Elaydrin does not entirely seem interested, so the Band takes their leave.
  • As they walk through town they come across a large group of people listening to a speaker yelling about destroying Warforged. He is saying that the Warforged destroyed their homes and families in the Last War, and now they are taking jobs that rightfully belong to the people of the city. He goes on about the king of Breland and his foolish ways, and says that all the Warforged are good for is bloodshed. The speaker wants Warforged melted down and used for their parts. The crowd cheers him on and agrees, and an older woman says to Evellis that she and Kobin should really think about melting down “their Warforged,” Static, for the good of the community. Evellis and Kobin talk a little about murdering the speaker, but Static dissuades them due to the large amount of supporters around. They quickly return the way they came, headed back to the Pussy Cat Inn.
  • Upon returning, the barkeeper gives Static a note that it’s friend left for it. The note is from Static’s friend Ash, who is the only other survivor in Static’s fighting group when they were low-level grunts in the Last War. In the note, Ash wants Static to visit it in the Cogs at a Warforged social club called The Red Hammer, and talks about the recent Warforged murders in the Cogs. Static decides it hasn’t seen Ash in a while and is concerned about the murders, so the entire band decides to go to the Blackbones District of the Cogs to investigate.
  • The group travels down to Blackbones, and they stop to talk to a Warforged replacing Eternal Burning Torches on the streets who complains about it’s job. Kobin gives it some money, and the Band gets instructions from it on how to get to The Red Hammer.
  • The adventurers enter The Red Hammer to see many Warforged standing in groups of six, as is customary to their fighting units during the war. They are having various conversations about their lives, and seem to be trying to imitate flesh-folk in their customs of socializing and being at leisure. There is no furniture except for the few tables that the groups of Warforged stand around as the socialize.
  • Static see’s Ash waving to them at the back of the room. They go over to it, and Ash embraces Static because some Warforged are trying to be more person-like by hugging. Ash hugs both Evellis and Kobin too, saying, “We’re huggers around here.”
  • Static asks Ash about how life has been and about the murders, and it says that someone has been murdering Warforged, but there are lots of rumors going around that the killer is the ghost The Jack of Irons. Ash says that 9 Warforged have been killed, but no one has seen the killer, though another Warforged across the room, Dandy, found the body of the most recent victim. Ash says it knows where the bodies were found, and the band asks it to draw each place on a map of the Blackbones district so they can see if they were all in a certain location. Ash, not having thought of that itself, remarks that Static was always the thinker in their group, and begins to mark places on the map.
  • The adventurers go to find Dandy, who they see is a carefully kept Warforged who has kept it’s crest of what house it belonged to. They begin to question Dandy about what it saw when it found the body, and it says that it stumbled upon the body. Dandy talks about seeing the insides of forged and how it hasn’t seem them in so long, that it almost forgot what they looked like, and how that was sobering and brought back bad memories from the war. The Warforged standing with them ask Dandy if it saw the murderer or not, and Dandy ashamedly says it didn’t. The band apologizes that Dandy had to see that, and Dandy says that it had hoped to put all of the violence behind it and forget about it, but it guesses not.
  • The band promises Dandy that they will catch whoever or whatever is killing Warforged. Dandy thanks them, and another forged snidely comments on Static hanging with fleshfolk. Static says that it trusts them, and Evellis and Kobin say that they like Warforged and support the Lord of Blades. Ash runs over and excitedly tells them that it seem all of the murders occurred around the Tain Foundry, and gives them the map. They thank Ash, and are told that the bodies are being kept at House Cannith’s Blackbones Forgehome. The band decides to see if they can get in, and leave, promising the Warforged that they will find the murderer. Dandy says that it guesses they need something to keep them occupied, and “You know what they say: a good project keeps the madness away.”
  • The band goes to the Forgehome, entering the lobby. There is a lone secretary in the room who asks if she can help the adventurers, and Evellis decides they will have to use trickery to get inside. She tells the poor secretary that she has been sent by a powerful member of House Cannith to inspect the Warforged bodies, and threatens that if she and her friends are not allowed entrance the secretary may be in trouble. The secretary, Moira, asks who this member is, and Evellis tells her that it is the Lady Elaydrin d’Vown, but Moira does not recognize the name. This is because House Cannith has been divided in Sharn, and the Lady Elaydrin d’Vown is in House Cannith North while those in House Cannith’s Blackbones Forgehome belong to House Cannith South [I think].
  • Moira says she is unsure if she should let them in without the approval of her boss, and says that he will be back shortly if the group would like to wait. Evellis tells Moira that they are in a great hurry and they need to see the bodies now, trying to convince Moira to allow them entrance anyways, but Moira only offers to call him so he can get there sooner to let them in because it does sound like Evellis is very important, but Moira cannot let them in herself. She would get such a reaming.
  • Evellis tells Moira that she and her band are going to go talk in a corner, and Moira says that there are lots of nice corners, and maybe they’d like the one with the plant. The group huddles to figure out how to get past, worried that the door will pose a problem due to some type of enchantment or secret locking mechanism. They go through their spells to see if anything will help them disable Moira or break through the door, and decide Evellis should use a sleeping spell. [“Uhh, hold on, I have to create stats for her….”] Evellis pulls out her lute to cast a sleeping enchantment on Moira, but Moira remains unaffected and only exclaims, “Oh, that’s a pretty song!” Evellis begrudgingly agrees.
  • The group goes back into their corner to huddle with the plant, and they decide to try and find ways to make Moira leave her station. Kobin decides to try and flirt with her, asking for a cup of coffee, and Moira tells him that while getting coffee isn’t her job because she must stay at the front desk in case someone tries to run in, they don’t have coffee in the first place.
  • At this point, Evellis decides to tell Moira that she and her group are door inspectors, and they have actually been sent to inspect the doors of the House’s facility, especially the door behind Moira leading out of the lobby. Evellis asks if there is anything special about this door, or anything that she should know about it, and Moira says that there is not anything really special about it, that it swings inward and outward, and it is just a basic door leading to the rest of the facility. Moira offers to let them have a closer look and open and close it for them a few times, and the group follows her to stand in the hallway past the door as Moira tells them about the door, opening and closing it.
  • Kobin begins to sneak down the hallway when an older man walks around the corner and demands to know what he is doing, and Kobin tells him that he is a monk sent to bless the bodies, and that he is very important and his church requires it, but the man does not believe him and becomes angrier, so Kobin thinks briefly about attacking him. [“Aghhh, I don’t have stats for him either!”] At this point Moira says to Evellis and Static that she is done showing them the door, and they really shouldn’t be back here because she would get such a wringing. Evellis and Static completely understand, but tell her that it seems their friend wandered off and is talking with another member of the House, so they will go collect him now.
  • The man is furious with Kobin, and when the other two band members leave Moira and join them Evellis claims that Kobin is actually mentally disturbed, and to please forgive him if he has been causing any trouble. Evellis then tells the man that she and her friends want to see the Warforged bodies, and that in exchange she will give him some important information regarding their rival House Cannith North. The man is intrigued, and after some convincing decides that the information could be very important. He tells Moira that she is in so much trouble for letting the travelers in the back, and that she is going to get such a reaming when he’s done with them.
  • The man tells them that he holds a higher rank in the House, and takes them into his office. He brings in a smaller man and introduces him as Niles d’Cannith, telling the adventurers that Niles will accompany them until they find the murder and solve the case. He says that the group will have ten minutes with the bodies, and that Niles will be with them during it and at all times afterwards. Niles is a level 4 wizard, kind of dorky, and has been pretty secluded during his time with House Cannith. The players decide to stop here and pick it up another time.

Session 4
Ambush!!!

It has been a while since Session 4 took place, my memory is a little fuzzy. If you see anything missing or incorrect, I invite you to edit it to correction!!

  • The golden doors slide open, and the band enters a room containing the schema. Upon examination, the party determines that the schema is 1 piece of 5 giving instructions on how to create the brains of warforged. They scavenge some other items from the room, including a deed to the foundry, stating that whoever holds the deed owns the place.
  • Satisfied, the adventurers start to leave the foundry, but upon exiting the office into the hallway they are ambushed by the warforged from before and another warforged, larger and with some sweet duds and weapons, assumed to be the former warforged’s superior.
  • The two warforged demand the adventurers give them the schema, for it does not belong to the flesh races and because Static is thought of as traitorous to the cause for teaming with “fleshies.” The band tries to reason with the warforged, Kobin and Evellis saying they sympathize with the warforged cause, but they need the schema for their own benefit. They offer to share and care, but the two warforged do not care about their entire existence being used for personal gain. Battle commences.
  • Evellis sends her new ice construct-hound friend to attack “Pinky” (because they were a pink bottle cap, I don’t remember their name), and Kobin goes to attack the leader. Evellis stays back, only being able to use long-range attacks, and Static uses an infusion on themselves an goes into a Rage. The Ice Hound uses an icy attack against Pinky that will not take effect until a few more rounds. Static runs and attacks Pinky, slicing their head off, and it falls and shatters into ice shards.
  • Kobin is combating the leader, who is enraged by his friend’s death. The hound goes to attack the leader and Static follows, moving around and flanking the warforged. The three attack the leader until the enemy warforged falls to the ground, deactivated but not killed. The party discusses if they should leave the leader there, kill them, relocate them, or interrogate them. Eventually they decide to take the kick ass weapons and sick threads the unconscious warforged has, tie them up to the work table by the forge, and heal them enough to interrogate them. One of these sweet weapons includes a black sword that, when unsheathed, caws like a crow, and it is super cool, and it is not destined to be kept.
  • After the leader is tied, Static infuses “Repair Light Damage” into them, and the leader regains consciousness. They struggle against their bonds before realizing the adventurers standing around and watching them, and then they become still. The leader says that they are at the band’s mercy, but the adventurers continue to sympathize with the warforgeds’ cause. Evellis tells them that she likes the Lord of Blades and what they stand for, and the leader warforged seems to respect this.
  • The leader says that if the party really cared, they would give them the schema, but the adventurers say they cannot for their own reasons. The warforged then says that if they do not retrieve the schema, they will be better off dead, and that the band should kill them. The party decides that they can copy the schema onto some parchment for the warforged, and the leader agrees to this, but says that they will need something to fend for themselves and some money whenever they leave the foundry. After copying down the schema for the warforged and for themselves, the group unties the warforged, gives up the kick-ass crow sword, and hands them the schema. The leader warforged runs out, and the band does not see them again.
  • They retreat back to The Pussy Cat Inn to rest. After, Kobin goes to shop for new garments, Evellis studies the schema and then goes to meet with her mentor, and Static, now possessing the deed to the Cannith foundry, returns there to craft scrolls.

Session 3
Behind The Door
  • After some fiddling around with the door, the band holds the pre-Galifarian House Cannith journal up to it and it slides open. The adventurers peer into the dark of the entrance, casting light spells onto a few food items to throw in and try to see what lies inside. They see a walking chest that sweeps up their glowing sandwich, and a constructed hound that tears apart the lit-up apple. Three pairs of eyes stare at them through the dark, one pair green, one pair red, and one pair blue.
  • Static walks in through the entrance, causing motion sensor lights to switch on, and three construct hounds encircle them. The constructs attack, and Static receives the brunt of the damage for charging in, and falls down unconscious. Evellis fights off the hounds as best she can, but is left badly wounded, and Kobin does what he can from the back of the party.
  • In desperation Evellis pulls out the journal, and the hounds immediately recognize Evellis as a member of the House. In the meantime, Static has used an item to heal them slightly when they fall unconscious, and now lies awake on the ground with one hound standing on them. Kobin defeats the other two hounds, and Static throws the third off of them and to the floor. Kobin deals the final blow, and all of the hounds are defeated. They heal, and then begin exploring.
  • They first enter a pair of sliding wooden and steel doors to find three bunk-beds with chests in front of them. The band searches the chests to find some clothing, a charm, a toolkit, a wand, bits of wire, parchment, and an eternal torch (maybe some other things too). Satisfied, they leave and look at the forge. Around the pit, there are chalkboards with writing on constructs and the goals of the foundry.
  • Next the band enters a room without a door, all of the wood having rotted long ago, and then swept up by the walking chest. There is a desk inside that holds a “blank” personal journal, belonging to the same person who wrote the journal Evellis holds. There is also some parchment and a wand. Static, trying to appraise the wand, instead sets it off, and casts Mirror on himself. Multiple Statics appear around the room, and the other members move on to explore beyond the door at the other side of the room.
  • In the next room the adventurers find a library, noticing some empty shelves and books strewn about. At the back of the room is a golden door with three indents of a triangle, a square, and a hexagon. The band goes back into the room with the desk and finds a stick with a triangle end. Returning to the forge, they see a stick with a hexagonal end inside the pit. They retrieve it, and then decide to go down a hallway to see if they can find the last object.
  • Down the hallway, they find three workshops. They inspect the one at the far end first, seeing a black acidic ooze covering the table and jars full of mold. Static and Evellis walk in first, and the black ooze reaches out and tries to grab Evellis. Inside of the black ooze they see human bones, and decide to check the rest of the workshops out instead of dealing with whatever this dark magic thing is.
  • They move to the second workshop cubicle, but the ooze begins to follow them, sliding off the table. In this workshop, they find three wands and a charm, but in the interest of ooze-time they do not appraise them and instead move on to the first workshop. It is covered in broken glass, and when they look up they can see that the glass came from what looks to be an aquatic tank that was installed in the ceiling. The tank has been shattered, and there is evidence of elemental damage done to the workshop. There is also another construct hound, but it is inanimate, and the front part of its head is pulled open with nothing inside. Orbs of various colors holding mephets(???) inside lay behind it on the table.
  • At this point, the ooze has gotten closer, and the party finds they cannot ignore it any longer. Evellis gets an idea, and decides to activate the hound, choosing a light blue mephet(?). She inserts the orb into the slot in the hounds head and snaps it shut. The hound boots up, and she orders the hound to protect her and her friends. The hound shoots ice at the ooze, and Evellis shoots arrows at it. Static goes to stand beside Kobin, and Kobin uses his quarter staff to attack the ooze. They defeat it, and as it disappears it leaves behind bones and the stick with the square end.
  • They grab the stick and return to the door. Kobin places the sticks in starting with the least sides to the most, and the party is not electrocuted for the wrong insertions. The players decide to explore the room behind the golden door next time.

Session 2
Continuing Our Quest
  • After the cool dismissal from Lady Elaydrin d’Vown of Cannith North, the band goes back to the Pussy Cat Inn to rest before their adventure. Kobin meditates, Evellis studies the journal, now full of writing thanks to the Lady, and Static crafts some scrolls.
  • They rest for an hour, and then the band heads out to start their adventure. A map points them to the sewers located underneath the Rat’s Market, but they are unsure of how to find the entrance.
  • As they wander, a shifter urchin snatches Kobin’s purse and begins running away. Kobin runs after and uses a monk-nerve-pinch (hehe) to paralyze the kid, who falls to the ground. Onlookers gawk, noting Kobin’s Church of the Silver Flame garb (known for their persecution of shifters). Kobin sits beside the urchin, gives them some money, and tells them to just ask next time. The child thanks him and runs away, and Kobin rejoins the group.
  • After Kobin gives the urchin money, Static notices a couple gawking shifters whispering among themselves, and then being approached by a warforged.
  • An opportunistic goblin merchant begins talking with Evellis, trying to convince her to buy his wares. She talks with him, buying a necklace, and asks if he knows how to enter the sewers. The merchant agrees to show the band the entrance to the sewers for a price, to which they agree.
  • The goblin shows the party to the entrance and takes them inside, asks if they are absolutely positive they won’t need any supplies, collects his payment, and leaves, happy with being paid to let the adventurers slog around in the muck.
  • The band descends the steps, crosses the sewage onto a platform, and then, emerging from the muck, they are attacked by the two shifters and the warforged Static saw before. Battle commences. The warforged hits Static and asks, “Who’s your band now?” They tell them to join the warforged and abandon the “fleshies.” Eventually, Kobin knocks the warforged into the sewage channel, and the two shifters, without a leader or a chance for payment, run out of the sewers. The warforged never emerges.
  • The band continues on its way through the sewers, following the map Evellis received, until they reach a circular door in the wall that has the same symbol as the one on the journal. Static and Kobin try to pull the door open, but have no luck as they are hit with orbs of acid for their troubles. The players decide to pick it up next time.

Session 1
Our Adventure Begins

Our heroes have been hanging out at the Pussy Cat Inn after Kobin and Evellis saved Static from an attack from the Blood Claw goblins.

  • Evellis had a job for the party: Meet with Provost Bonal Geldem of Morgrave University and get information from him to pass along to a client in House Cannith North.
  • When on the way to the Provost’s office, the party saw the provost was killed by a Warforged assassin with Karrnathi markings. The mysterious Warforged asked Static to join them before Static hit off its head with a powerful warhammer attack: “THIS IS MY BAND!”
  • Sgt. Dolom, inquisitor of the Sharn City Watch, hired the band to investigate who killed the provost.
  • The heroes found a mysterious journal on the body of the the provost and found that it was empty but had a pre-Galifarian crest of House Cannith from before the War of the Mark.
  • The next morning cool Evellis met with their client in the Broken Anvil Inn: the even cooler Lady Elaydrin d’Vown of Cannith North. She hired the band of heroes to recover a lost schema from a pre-Galifarian Cannith foundry.

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.
